Garbage trucks are large trucks that drive around in our neighborhoods and take away our trash. We think they’re important because they help keep our communities clean. Read on to find out about these special artic dump truck and the people who drive them.
“It’s a superhero for cleanliness.” We do not keep our garbage at home; people who work for us visit our homes once a week and take our garbage to a certain place — they call it a landfill. Minus these trucks, our neighborhoods would be full of smelly, dirty garbage.
Useless collector vans really help the environment very much. By picking up our trash and carrying it back to base, they impede pollution and they keep our air and water clean. They also serve to prevent the spread of diseases that can be transmitted by garbage that is allowed to fester.

Most days, the crew on a refuse collector articulated truck leave the house early to begin work. They run their truck over established routes, stopping at each house to pick up the garbage. The guys work together to load the trash into the truck and to ensure that it is secured for the ride.
