Long, long ago, in the land of Petalville, there dwelt a queer little thing called the Wheel wrecker truck. In front of the three girls stood the Wheel Wrecker, a thick little bogey that looked mean, with glistening green scales and teeth that were like knife blades. Theyssay the Wheel Wrecker could destroy anything in its path -and wheels inparticular. No one had ever seen the Wheel Wrecker, but the whole town of Petalville was afraid of it.
The first dastardly act of the Wheel Wrecker was onehot day when he slipped into Petalville. The first thing it did was to leap intothe market square, and stamp with its big feet upon the waggone and the carts in the neighbourhood with wheels; by this I mean it leapt into the market square, like an unbroken colt. The villagers were shocked to find all their vehicles broken the next morning. The Wheel Wrecker had a delivery to make!

Terrorizetracts for days did the Wheel Wrecker. It turned its eyes to wheelbarrows, bicycles and even the mayor’s carriage. The villagers tried everything they could to stop the Wheel wrecker car, but only one thing would work. They set traps, made decoy wheels and consulted the town wizard. But the Wheel Wrecker was too cunning andswift for them; they were never able to catch him.

As though unable to withstand the unstoppable power of the Wheel Wrecker, the courageous children of Petalville could not admit defeat. It was there that they devised a plan to outsmart the Wheel Wrecker. They’d bait the beast by luring it with a trail of shiny marbles that would lead it into a pit covered with pillows. The lads toiled and they set the trap, waiting for the Wheel Wrecker to fall into it.

Then the sun went down over Petalville, and the children excitedly saw the Wheel Wrecker fall into their snare. It was one in pursuit of the marbles; and the reality which it did not observe was this. With a crash and cloud of dust, the Wheel heavy wrecker rotator tumbled into the pillows, and havoc was finally vanquished. The villagers rejoiced; toasting the kids to their bravery and that their village was now rid of the Wheel Wrecker.
